How can we expect children to love learning when we've never put a book in their hands, we've never read them a story? We've never given them any reason to love learning. How many times have you read your child a book at night? How many times have they read to you? How many times have you taken 15 to 20 minutes out of your busy day to assist with homework? How much time have you invested?
How many times have you yelled at your child or became frustrated when they didn't understand something? How many times have you threatened your child to take away the things they love because of bad grades instead of trying to understand the root of the problem?
How many times have you “googled” a youtube video to help assist you in explaining a difficult math concept? How many times have you reached out to the teacher to get your child some additional help? How many times have you been an advocate for your child when the teacher's directions were unclear and you didn't understand them yourself?
HOW?
LET'S BREAK GENERATIONAL CURSES.
